☉ Role Overview:

We’re looking for a technically inclined and systems-oriented individual to join us as a Data Analyst Intern (Data Architecture Path).

This role focuses on building the foundation of our data systems, i.e. from structuring raw content into scalable databases to supporting API readiness and early-stage data engineering.

You will work closely with Founders to design and implement how data is stored, accessed, and scaled. This is an unpaid internship.

☉ Key Responsibilities:

Database Design & Structuring:

• Convert unstructured and semi-structured content into structured databases
• Design schemas, tables, and relationships aligned with business needs
• Build and maintain a scalable reference database

Data Engineering Foundations:

• Support the development of data pipelines and workflows
• Automate data cleaning and transformation using Python/SQL
• Ensure data consistency, integrity, and usability

API & Data Access:

• Assist in setting up APIs for data access and distribution
• Collaborate to ensure database structures are optimised for API consumption

Data Management:

• Organise and maintain datasets for reliability and scalability
• (Bonus) Contribute to thinking around data security and access control

☉ Requirements:

• Relevant degrees, certifications, or experience
• Understanding of database design and data modelling concepts
• Proficiency in Python or Java for automating data movement.
• Strong SQL skills (joins, indexing, schema understanding- Star vs Snowflake)
• Basic exposure to APIs and data workflows
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, or others is a plus
• Strong problem-solving mindset and attention to detail
