The Data Analyst works with Information Systems and other functions to turn data into insight for operational, commercial and product decisions.
The role is part of the Data Team and contributes to data quality, reporting and trend analysis.
Main responsibilities
- Collect, clean and analyse data from a variety of sources, maintaining data quality, accuracy and consistency.
- Develop and maintain data models, dashboards and reports.
- Work with stakeholders to understand data requirements and business questions.
- Analyse trends and patterns, then present actionable findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Support data-driven initiatives and contribute to designing and implementing data-driven solutions.
- Stay current with developments in data analysis tools and best practice.
Essential criteria
- Degree or equivalent practical experience in a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, statistics, computer science or software engineering.
- At least two years’ experience in a Data Analyst or similar role.
- Proficiency with SQL, Excel and at least one analytical programming language such as Python or R.
- Understanding of data modelling and statistical analysis.
- Experience creating dashboards and visualisations with tools such as Tableau, Power BI or Looker Studio.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, clear communication and effective collaboration across the business.
- Attention to detail and commitment to accurate, reliable data.
Desirable criteria
- Experience with Databricks or similar data platforms, agile working, or the education technology sector is desirable.
- Familiarity with Confluence or a similar documentation platform is desirable.
- Experience using AI tools to improve analysis, reporting or workflow efficiency is desirable.
