Responsibilities
- Manage data as a strategic asset.
- Ensure data quality, usability, and institutional analytics to support informed decision-making.
- Monitor compliance with relevant regulations and advise on privacy risks and data subject rights.
- Support the reduction of privacy and compliance risks through effective governance practices.
- Establish and maintain data governance frameworks, policies, standards, and controls.
- Monitor adherence to internal standards and security requirements.
- Manage the technical infrastructure and systems that house institutional data.
- Implement technical safeguards and maintain system availability to ensure data integrity.
- Develop and support the institution's data strategy and conduct privacy reviews.
- Define data standards, governance requirements, and reporting classifications.
- Document technical procedures, implementation requirements, and governance controls.
- Assess and document privacy risks associated with new projects and initiatives.
- Support independent oversight through appropriate segregation of duties and governance controls.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field. Master's degree is preferred.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in Data Analytics, Data Governance, Information Management, or a related field.
- Experience with data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI) is preferred.
- Knowledge of data governance, reporting, and data quality management principles is preferred.
- Experience within the education sector is preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
