Cybersecurity Network Engineer

Overview

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

• Design, configure, implement, and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, and monitoring systems.
• Check/Update configuration of all DMZ switches, routers, firewalls as per documented policy
• Review log for all DMZ firewalls, routers, switches, and Intrusion Protection System.
• Manage, monitor, and maintain FortiGate, Juniper, and Sophos firewalls – including security policies, VPNs, NAT, and intrusion prevention.
• Configure and support Cisco and Hirschmann industrial switches, ensuring optimal performance and uptime.
• Oversee and maintain Network Monitoring Stations using tools like WhatsUp Gold, with regular health checks and performance reporting.
• Conduct risk assessments, patch management, and ensure compliance with security standards and best practices.
• Respond to network incidents and service interruptions, providing root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with IT/security teams for firewall policy management, segmentation, and access control
• Document configurations, network diagrams, and change control procedures.
• Qualification and Experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or IT.
• Technical proficiency in networking, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), and security tools
• Cybersecurity Network experience – minimum 5 years.

• CCNP (CISCO Certified Network Professional Security)

• CISCO Certified Specialist – Security Core.
• CISCO Certified Specialist – Network Security Firepower.
• Palo Alto , FortiGate ,Networks Certified Network Security Engineer.
• Technical Know-how , configuration abilities in - Tofino, Eagle40 -Firewall switches (OPC/ Modbus), Hirschmann Vnet/IP (L2/L3) switches
