Cybersecurity Analyst

Role

Responsibilities

• Monitor systems and networks for security events, analyze threats, and coordinate incident response with internal stakeholders.
• Perform vulnerability assessments, review application and network security controls, and conduct malware analysis as required.
• Maintain security documentation, prepare clear reports for non-technical legal professionals, and recommend improvements to security policies, procedures, and tools.
• Work with IT and program teams to secure training platforms, research systems, and client-related data in accordance with relevant standards.

Qualifications

• Core cybersecurity skills, including cybersecurity and malware analysis, and strong network and application security skills.
• Analytical ability to interpret logs, investigate incidents, and produce actionable findings.
• Relevant security monitoring and vulnerability assessment tool experience; examples include SIEM solutions and intrusion detection systems.
• Understanding of frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, or CIS Controls, plus basic data protection and privacy knowledge.
• Ability to explain technical risks and mitigation strategies clearly to non-technical legal stakeholders.
• Prior experience in an educational, legal, or professional services environment is beneficial.
• A relevant degree or certification, or equivalent practical experience, is required.
