Cybersecurity Analyst

Role description

Responsibilities

• Monitor systems and networks for security events; review logs and alerts.
• Identify vulnerabilities in web, application, and cloud environments.
• Conduct basic malware analysis and assist with incident response.
• Recommend improvements to hosting, streaming, and collaboration tools.
• Document findings, maintain simple team security guidelines, and work with technical and content staff on secure workflows.

Qualifications

• Strong cybersecurity foundation and analytical ability to assess risks and interpret security data.
• Experience with network security, including traffic monitoring, basic firewall rules, and suspicious activity identification.
• Knowledge of application security, secure web-platform configuration, access controls, and vulnerability awareness.
• Familiarity with malware analysis, indicators of compromise, containment, and remediation.
• Understanding of secure cloud and SaaS usage and common security practices.
• Ability to communicate technical findings clearly and document procedures in plain language.
• Relevant coursework, Security+ or CySA+ certification, or practical cybersecurity or IT security experience.
• Reliable remote setup, time management, and ethical, privacy-focused security practices.
