Cyber Security Lead in mydentist's Tech & Transformation team, based at its Support Centre in Greater Manchester.
Own and deliver cyber security strategy across a multi-site, private equity-backed healthcare business.
The role aims to protect digital assets, meet security standards, mitigate risks, and guard information and technology against current and emerging threats.
Workplace and schedule
- Hybrid role, ideally including one day per week in the office, with a split between office and home working.
- Permanent, full-time role at 37 hours per week.
Key responsibilities
- Own the security roadmap and budget; assess tools and controls by risk reduction relative to cost.
- Own incident response and major-incident escalation; coordinate root-cause analysis, statutory reporting, cyber insurance, and executive tabletop exercises.
- Support safe AI and emerging technology adoption through risk assessment, data classification, and model and tooling review.
- Partner with data protection, information governance, and clinical safety functions on special category data, DPIAs, processing records, and applicable clinical safety obligations.
Candidate profile
- Hands-on familiarity with EDR/XDR, such as Aurora or Microsoft Defender; Microsoft cloud security, including Azure, M365, Entra ID, and Purview; identity and access management; and distributed network architecture.
- Ideally 7+ years in IT or information security, including prior senior or analyst experience.
