Customs & Logistics Coordinator

Overview

• Handle end-to-end customs clearance processes for import and export shipments.
• Ensure compliance with UAE customs regulations, documentation, and legal requirements.
• Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and government authorities.
• Prepare and verify shipping and customs documents (Invoice, Packing List, COO, Bill of Lading, HS Code classification).
• Plan and coordinate transportation of goods (air, sea, and land freight).
• Track shipments and ensure timely delivery to warehouse or project sites.
• Resolve shipment delays, discrepancies, or damages in coordination with vendors and logistics partners.
• Maintain accurate records of import/export transactions and logistics activities.
• Ensure all documentation is properly filed and accessible for audits.
• Prepare reports on shipment status, delays, and logistics costs.
• Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, clearing agents, and internal departments.
• Negotiate logistics rates and service agreements with service providers.
• Coordinate with procurement, stores, and project teams for delivery planning.
• Monitor logistics costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
• Optimize shipping methods, routes, and consolidation of shipments.
• Ensure efficient utilization of resources to meet project deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, international trade regulations, and Incoterms.
• Support internal and external audits related to customs and logistics.
• Stay updated with changes in customs regulations and trade laws.
