Customs clearance follow up specialist

Overview

• Follow up on customs clearance procedures for all inbound and outbound shipments.
• Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and shipping agents to ensure timely clearance.
• Review customs documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Monitor shipment status until final customs release and delivery.
• Liaise with relevant government authorities when required to facilitate customs processes.
• Resolve customs-related issues, delays, or discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate shipment records and prepare periodic customs and logistics reports.
• Ensure compliance with applicable customs regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Coordinate with internal departments, including Procurement, Warehouse, Logistics, and Finance, to ensure smooth operational workflow.
• Identify opportunities to improve customs clearance processes and reduce clearance lead times
