Role overview
The Customer Service Representative provides customer service and inside-sales support to multiple office departments.
The position also provides front-office and administrative coverage and training across company functions.
Schedule
- Day shift, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday, with 8-hour shifts.
Responsibilities
- Answer calls on a multi-line switchboard and assist customers across Canada.
- Support the sales team; check email and fax communications several times per day.
- Enter orders, send confirmations, and follow up when product information is needed.
- Alert the Supply Chain Manager about custom products to order and learn the products sold by the company.
- Fulfill requests, maintain an orderly work area, and assist staff with varied duties.
- Apply workplace safety standards, policies, procedures, and operating rules.
Requirements
- Must speak, read, and write English.
- Requires QuickBooks Enterprise Desktop, Office 365 applications, and typing at 60 WPM.
- Requires document use, numeracy, oral communication, teamwork, and continuous learning skills.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks and attention to detail.
- WHMIS 2015, First Aid, Worker Health and Safety in 4 Steps, and other safety certificates are bonus skills, not requirements.
Compensation
- Pay starts at $22.00 per hour.
