Role Overview
NANI is seeking a detail-oriented and professional Customer Service Representative for its billing team.
The role focuses on managing patient accounts and collections.
Responsibilities
- Verify active insurance coverage and review outstanding patient account balances.
- Contact patients about balances and establish payment plans when appropriate.
- Answer questions about account balances, insurance payments, and billing.
- Document activity in the practice management system.
- Collaborate with billing staff on payment and adjustment posting.
- Protect patient information under HIPAA and escalate unresolved accounts according to office policy.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate degree or medical billing certification is a plus.
- Two to three years of medical billing or patient collections experience preferred.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills required.
- Familiarity with healthcare billing systems and insurance terminology required.
- Microsoft Office and practice management software proficiency required.
- Professional and discreet handling of sensitive patient information required.
- Bilingual ability preferred.

Compensation
- Compensation is $22-$25 per hour based on experience.
