Role Description
The Health Officer will be responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring health and safety initiatives that support sustainable practices across organizational projects and operations.
Day-to-day activities include assessing workplace health risks, conducting site inspections, advising on preventive measures, and developing protocols that align with relevant health, safety, and sustainability standards.
The role involves collaborating with project managers, community stakeholders, and partner organizations to integrate occupational and community health considerations into program design and execution.
The Health Officer will prepare reports, deliver training sessions, and contribute to continuous improvement in health outcomes and safety performance.
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Occupational Health and Workplace Safety, with experience in developing and implementing health and safety programs.
- Knowledge of Construction Safety practices, including risk assessment, incident prevention, and compliance with local and international regulations.
- Background in Community Health, with the ability to assess and address health impacts on surrounding communities and project stakeholders.
- Effective Communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear reports, deliver trainings, and engage diverse teams and partners.
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field; advanced certification in health and safety is an asset.
- Experience working in multinational or sustainability-focused organizations, preferably in the Middle East or similar contexts.
- Familiarity with SDGs, corporate sustainability frameworks, and health-related regulatory requirements in the United Arab Emirates.
- Demonstrated ability to work on-site, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and manage multiple health and safety initiatives concurrently.
