Role overview

Build customer marketing programs that contribute to retention, advocacy, expansion, pipeline, and revenue.

The role spans customer advocacy, lifecycle marketing, and expansion, combining strategy with hands-on execution.

Key responsibilities

  • Own a customer marketing strategy with priorities, campaign calendars, and measurable business outcomes.
  • Create case studies, testimonials, reviews, references, and customer stories from customer results.
  • Develop lifecycle communications and gifting to deepen engagement and reinforce client value.
  • Use signal tracking to identify job changes and buying signals, then reconnect with customer champions and past customers.
  • Partner with client services and sales on renewals, account growth, cross-sell, upsell, referrals, and coordinated outreach.
  • Use account-mapping and customer and partner overlap data to find warm introductions.
  • Maintain customer advocates and match references to relevant sales opportunities.
  • Run referral campaigns, manage incentives and follow-up, and measure pipeline and revenue contribution.
  • Own targeted outreach and nurture campaigns for customer champions, past customers, and relevant prospects.

Experience and background

  • Proven customer marketing, lifecycle marketing, or related growth experience with ownership of retention, advocacy, or expansion programs.
  • B2B marketing experience; agency, professional services, or B2B SaaS experience is ideal.
  • Experience with advocacy programs and case studies, testimonials, or sales enablement content.
  • Hands-on segmented email and nurture campaign experience, from audience selection and copywriting through execution and reporting.
  • Experience partnering with sales and client-facing teams to turn customer insight into campaigns and revenue opportunities.
  • Comfort with Salesforce, HubSpot, marketing automation, and sales engagement platforms; signal tracking and account mapping familiarity is a plus.

Core competencies

  • Connect customer stories and lifecycle strategy to retention, pipeline, and revenue.
  • Set goals, interpret performance data, and test ways to improve results.
  • Build alignment across teams and turn ideas into coordinated, repeatable programs.
  • Use AI thoughtfully for research, personalization, and execution while maintaining accuracy and a natural voice.

Compensation and benefits

  • The company has a set living wage; actual salary may vary based on job-related skills, experience, and compensation practices.
  • Benefits include medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance; mental and physical wellness resources; and paid parental leave.
  • Other benefits include unlimited PTO with a two-week minimum, company holidays, a year-end recharge, a 401(k) match, an annual bonus, and a company retreat.

Work environment

  • The role can operate 100% virtually from a home office; the company describes itself as remote-first.
  • For global locations, candidates must have current work authorization and permanently reside in a country where the company has an established business.
  • The role requires laptop and software use, extended stationary periods, communication access, and reliable internet.
