The Key Account / Customer Development Manager role supports profitable sales growth with traditional-trade business customers.
The role focuses on customer relationships and execution across revenue, assortment, shelving, merchandising, pricing, promotions, and seasonal activity.
What Mars is looking for
- Bachelor’s degree; a Business Administration focus is preferred.
- 4–7 years of Sales and/or Marketing experience in FMCG or CPG industries.
- Prior Retail Account Management experience.
- Fluent understanding of forecasting, Nielsen, and trade management systems.
- Availability to travel 10% of the time.
Key responsibilities
- Create and execute customer solutions for category leadership, profitability, sales growth, seasonal placement, merchandising, and pricing.
- Influence customers with fact-based presentations that produce beneficial results for both parties.
- Execute new product launches effectively and on time.
- Forecast accurately and follow through on agreed customer solutions.
- Manage customer trade funds compliantly and improve spending effectiveness.
- Provide category information, growth recommendations, customer feedback, and potential solutions.
