Minimum Qualifications

  • Understanding of methods, materials and equipment used in custodial, grounds keeping and building maintenance work.
  • Proven experience as custodian, janitor or in a similar role
  • Knowledge of use and maintenance of industrial cleaning equipment and appliances
  • Knowledge of safe disposal of chemical liquids and other hazardous components
  • Familiarity with basic landscaping and handyman practices
  • Attention to detail and conscientiousness
  • Very good physical condition and strength
  • High school diploma is preferred but not required
  • Required:
  • Arizona IVP Fingerprint clearance card
  • ADA AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
  • Positions in this class require: stooping, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Exerting up to 60 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
  • Be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Working Conditions:
  • Work is performed in an outdoor environment occasionally and an indoor environment frequently.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma is preferred but not required
