The professional will be responsible for the day-to-day operation, execution, and monitoring of the bank’s suite of risk models. The primary focus will be on Credit Risk Stress Testing and IFRS 9 / Impairment analytics, alongside the regular execution of capital, liquidity, and asset-liability management (ALM) frameworks. Output Review: Perform robust "sense-checks" and output validations prior to submission for corporate business usage or regulatory reporting. Human Judgment Log: Apply and carefully document required human judgment and overlays in line with the bank's approved override policy. 2. Data Management & Quality Control

  • Exception Reporting: Log data management exceptions and cooperate tightly with internal IT/ infrastructure teams to ensure platform functionality. 3. Model Governance & Board Reporting
  • Framework Adherence: Manage day-to-day operations aligned with the established model governance framework, handling escalation paths and functional roles responsibly. Model Risk Monitoring: Monitor, identify, and report underlying Model Risk trends during production cycles. Inventory Control: Keep the bank's comprehensive model inventory and lifecycle status logs fully current. Oversight Packs: Assist in preparing high-quality periodic reporting packs for the Model Oversight Committee and the Board. Override Management: Maintain the formal override register, routing any quantitative overrides through the sanctioned governance tracks. 4. Implementation & Infrastructure Liaison
  • UAT Support: Deliver practical functional support during User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cycles for model updates, securing record-keeping that aligns completely with CBUAE guidelines. Spreadsheet Controls: Maintain strict spreadsheet version controls and validation configurations over all Excel-dependent systems. Parameter Updates: Perform minor parameter, documentation, or assumption adjustments stemming from immediate business or macroeconomic changes. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a highly quantitative discipline such as Risk Management, Finance, Statistics, Financial Engineering, Economics, or Mathematics. Experience: 2 to 4 years of proven hands-on experience inside a commercial bank or top-tier financial professional services firm, directly specialized in Credit Risk modeling, IFRS 9 / ECL frameworks, and stress testing. Technical Proficiency: Elite-level command of Microsoft Excel (complex formulas, logic troubleshooting, and macro auditing) is mandatory due to the bank's spreadsheet dependency. Familiarity with specialized risk execution software platforms is a strong asset. Regulatory Insight: Foundational understanding of the Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) regulatory standards concerning model risk management and end-user computing controls. Attributes: Strong analytical eye for capturing data gaps, detailed documentation habits, and a collaborative mindset suitable for consulting assignments.
