Credit Controller

About This Role

Exceptional solutions require exceptional people. We are looking for a highly-motivated and results-oriented Credit Controller based in our Regional Head Office in Jebel Ali, Dubai . In this dual role, you will manage credit risk and ensure timely collections while supporting core accounting operations to maintain our financial health.

This is how you WOW:

• Actively manage and collect all outstanding debts from clients. This includes following up on overdue invoices via phone, email, and field client visits.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customer queries related to invoices and payments. This involves building and maintaining professional relationships to facilitate timely payments.
• Reconcile customer accounts to ensure the accuracy of the accounts receivable ledger. Investigate and resolve any discrepancies.
• Generate, manage, and analyze aging reports to track outstanding accounts and ensure collections are on schedule.
• Conduct credit checks on new and existing customers to assess credit risk and recommend appropriate credit limits.
• Prepare and present regular reports on accounts receivable, debtor days, and collection status to senior management.
• Continuously review and improve credit control processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Support additional accounting tasks, specifically managing Accounts Payable duties as needed.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Perform regular bank and petty cash reconciliations.
• Prepare schedules, gather supporting documentation, and provide timely information to internal and external auditors during audit cycles.
• Ensure all financial records are filed systematically and securely.
• Assist in the preparation and filing of UAE VAT returns.

It would be WOW if you would bring this in:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 2-3 years of experience in a credit control and accounts receivable role.
• Experience in Accounts Payable is necessary as this role will support other accounting tasks.
• Excellent communication, customer-service and negotiation skills.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Proficiency in Excel.
• SAP experience is required.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
