Credit Analyst

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Contact customers about overdue payments and accounts in bad standing, and follow up when they do not respond.
• Recommend initiatives or suspension of purchasing privileges when payments are not made.
• Analyze and approve orders according to established guidelines and required timelines.
• Review new customer accounts and perform preliminary checks.
• Respond to correspondence, manage reports, and maintain recovery-process records and files.
• Process accounts receivable transactions and prepare and transmit account statements, invoice copies, project denunciation forms, and receipts.
• Respond to customer information requests and help resolve credit issues through payment arrangements.
• Perform office duties including word processing, Microsoft Teams, file maintenance, filing, faxing, emailing, and photocopying.

Requirements

• College degree in accounting and three to five years of experience in the field.
• Results-oriented, collaborative, and able to work with a sense of urgency.
• Strong communication skills, courtesy, and diplomacy.
• Good understanding of computers and the MS Office suite; basic Word and Excel understanding is an asset.
• Understanding of the construction industry is an asset.
