Based in Dubai, the brand works closely with clients seeking bespoke, high-end garments for special occasions.

Role Description

The Couture Eveningwear Pattern Maker is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai.

This role is responsible for developing precise patterns for couture eveningwear, translating design sketches into accurate pattern blocks and final patterns.

Day-to-day tasks include drafting and adjusting patterns, conducting fittings, making alterations, and collaborating with designers and sample makers to ensure an impeccable fit and silhouette.

The Pattern Maker will work closely with the sewing team, supervise garment construction details related to patterns, and use both manual and digital tools to refine pattern designs.

This position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work within tight timelines while maintaining couture standards.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Pattern Making and Pattern Design skills, with experience in couture or high-end eveningwear.
  • Candidates should possess Fitting expertise, including conducting fittings, evaluating fit, and making precise pattern adjustments.
  • Candidates should possess Sewing skills relevant to couture garment construction and an understanding of complex finishing techniques.
  • Candidates should possess Computer-Aided Design (CAD) skills for pattern drafting, grading, and digital documentation.
  • Relevant experience in luxury fashion or couture ateliers, particularly with eveningwear or occasionwear.
  • Ability to interpret designer sketches, drape on mannequins, and work with diverse fabric types such as silk, satin, tulle, and embellished materials.
  • Strong attention to detail, spatial and mathematical aptitude, and excellent problem-solving skills in pattern correction and garment construction.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills; ability to work closely with designers, seamsters, and production teams.
  • Formal training in fashion design, pattern making, or garment technology is preferred.
