Courier/Driver

Overview

Responsibilities

• Deliver assigned shipments to correct person at the provided location and get necessary proof of successful delivery.
• Load and unload packages, ensuring proper handling and care.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain necessary signatures and proof of delivery as required.
• Maintaining clear and open communication with dispatchers, fellow couriers, and customers regarding delivery schedules, delays, or other relevant information.
• Collecting packages from the warehouses or distribution center as per schedule.
• Planning the most efficient delivery routes to ensure timely and accurate delivery of packages.
• Safely operate company vehicles to deliver packages to designated locations.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations and follow company policies.
• Being flexible and adaptable to changes in delivery schedules, traffic conditions, or other unforeseen circumstances that may arise during the course of the workday.
• Performing routine maintenance checks on the delivery vehicle to ensure it is clean, in good working condition and reporting any issues to Fleet Executive.

Requirements

• Valid UAE MANUAL light vehicle driving license .
• Previous experience as a courier or parcel driver is a plus.
• Good knowledge of the local roads and routes.
• -Immediate joining required.

Preferred Skills

• Ability to work under pressure.
• Good communication and writing skills.
• Basic knowledge of operating an app.
• Experience in logistics or delivery operations.
• Knowledge of GPS navigation systems.
