Position Summary
We are looking for a dedicated and customer-focused **Counterhand** to join our fresh food team, specializing in **Meat (Halal), Pork (Non-halal) or Fish**.
The ideal candidate is expected to carry out the following responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- *Cuts, cleans, and serves meat, fish, and pork; handles halal/non-halal meat.*
- Ensure proper labeling, pricing, and display of products according to store standards.
- Monitor freshness and quality of products; remove expired or damaged items promptly.
- Maintain hygiene and cleanliness of the counter and work area at all times.
Requirements
- Experience in a similar role in a supermarket, deli, or fresh food environment preferred.
- Attention to detail – accurate weighing, portioning, pricing
- Operate and maintain equipment such as slicers, knives, weighing scales, and refrigeration units safely.
- Basic knowledge of food safety, hygiene protocols, and equipment handling.
- Good communication- clear with customers and colleagues
- Customer service skills.
- Reliability – punctual, consistent
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.
