Costing and Business Solutions has worked for thirty years to provide information to hospital managers.
CBS uses the Microsoft stack for Activity Based Costing, data warehousing, dashboards, and business intelligence in New Zealand, Australia, and the Middle East.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain SQL Server datasets supporting client costing.
- Understand hospital data and source systems by working with hospital teams.
- Use CostPro, IntelPlus, and FocusPro to develop costing models and dashboards.
- Connect ETL processes to client systems and explain data findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Serve multiple hospitals, adapting to their different needs.
- Travel to clients elsewhere in the Middle East; time with the wider team in New Zealand and Australia may also be possible.
Work arrangement
- The role is based in Abu Dhabi and involves client travel elsewhere in the Middle East.
- The analyst works alongside an existing regional colleague and may spend time with teams in New Zealand and Australia.
Required qualifications and experience
- At least two years of hands-on Microsoft SQL Server experience.
- Confident T-SQL writing and troubleshooting, including joins, aggregation, common table expressions, and window functions.
- Experience with ETL processes and large datasets.
- Strong analytical ability and clear communication with IT, finance, and hospital management teams.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Finance, Commerce, or Accounting, or equivalent practical experience.
- Right to work in the United Arab Emirates.
- Ability to learn CBS products and client source systems.
Preferred experience
- Activity Based Costing experience is useful but not expected; training is provided.
- Interest in or exposure to the health sector is beneficial but not required.
