Role purpose

Monitor, analyze, and report the financial performance of major projects against budgets, forecasts, and company financial policies.

Provide project teams with cost tracking, variance analysis, and timely reporting to support decisions and financial control throughout the project lifecycle.

Cost planning and budgeting

  • Support the Project Cost Breakdown Structure aligned with the Work Breakdown Structure.
  • Support project budgets, funding requests, and cost estimates for engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
  • Coordinate with discipline leads and managers so cost plans reflect scope, schedule, and resources.
  • Assist with baseline budgets and monitor project lifecycle changes.

Cost monitoring and analysis

  • Track actual costs, commitments, and accruals against approved budgets; analyze variances and trends and recommend corrective actions.
  • Implement and maintain EVM metrics, including CPI and TCPI.
  • Support the Senior Cost Control Engineer with monthly cost reports, forecasts, and executive summaries.

Invoices and reporting

  • Validate EPCC contractor and subcontractor invoices against contractual terms, progress, and deliverables; coordinate payment processing with Procurement, Finance, and Project Controls.
  • Maintain auditable records of cost data, forecasts, invoice approvals, payment status, and financial commitments.
  • Prepare cost inputs for monthly project reports, steering committee presentations, and internal reviews; submit cost-control lessons learned.

Experience

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in fertilizer or petrochemical major project execution.
