Wafi Hospitality is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented

Cost Controller

to oversee and lead cost control operations across our central stores and restaurant outlets.

This role plays a key part in protecting profitability through effective inventory management, accurate cost monitoring, recipe control, and comprehensive financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all cost control activities across central stores and outlets.
  • Manage inventory control processes, stock movement monitoring, and recipe costing.
  • Monitor food and beverage wastage and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
  • Conduct periodic production yield tests and spot checks to ensure compliance with approved recipes and operating standards.
  • Perform detailed variance analysis on food cost, beverage cost, and inventory movements.
  • Investigate cost discrepancies and provide recommendations for corrective action.
  • Prepare and present timely cost control reports to management.
  • Maintain and update POS pricing structures and coordinate with delivery aggregators and system providers.
  • Prepare monthly Cost of Sales reports, menu engineering analysis, inventory reports, and other month-end closing requirements.
  • Support operational teams in implementing best practices to improve efficiency and cost performance.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and audit requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of proven experience in a Cost Controller role within the F&B, restaurant, or hospitality industry.
  • Finance, Accounting, or related educational background preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management, recipe costing, yield testing, menu engineering, and cost control procedures.
  • Hands-on experience with POS systems, inventory management software, and delivery aggregator platforms.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to identify operational inefficiencies and implement practical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and motivate team members while driving accountability and performance.
