Role Description

The Cost Controller is a full-time, on-site role based in Doha, Qatar.

This role is responsible for monitoring and controlling costs across hospitality operations, including outlets, catering, and events, ensuring alignment with budgeted targets and commercial objectives.

Day-to-day tasks include reviewing cost reports, analyzing variances, tracking inventory and consumption, and supporting pricing decisions for menus and services.

The Cost Controller will collaborate with finance, procurement, and operations teams to implement cost control procedures, maintain accurate cost records, and identify opportunities for efficiency and margin improvement.

The role also involves preparing regular cost performance reports, supporting audits, and contributing to the development of cost-related policies and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong skills in Cost Control and Cost Management to oversee and optimize operational expenses across multiple hospitality outlets.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Cost Accounting and Finance to ensure accurate costing, budgeting, and financial reporting that support sound commercial decisions.
  • Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to interpret data, perform variance analysis, and recommend actions that improve profitability and efficiency.
  • Relevant experience in hospitality or F&B cost control, including inventory management and menu costing, is highly beneficial.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field, with proficiency in Excel and ERP or POS-based cost systems, is preferred.
  • Ability to work on-site in Doha, Qatar, with strong attention to detail, integrity, and effective communication and collaboration skills.
