Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced
Senior Cost Consultant
to manage cost planning, budgeting, and financial control across major construction projects.
The role requires strong commercial awareness, client-facing experience, and the ability to lead cost management activities from concept through to project completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead cost planning, estimation, and budgeting for projects
- Prepare BOQs, cost reports, and tender documentation
- Manage procurement processes and contractor evaluations
- Monitor project costs, variations, and financial performance
- Provide value engineering and cost optimization strategies
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and contract conditions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or related field
- 10+ years of experience in cost consultancy / QS roles
- Strong knowledge of GCC market, preferably Qatar
- Experience with pre- and post-contract services
- Proficiency in cost management tools and reporting
- Professional membership (e.g., Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) is an advantage
