Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Cosmetic Chemist role based in Riyadh.
The Cosmetic Chemist will design, develop, and optimize formulations for skincare, haircare, and other cosmetic products, ensuring stability, safety, and performance.
Daily responsibilities include conducting laboratory experiments, evaluating raw materials, performing stability and compatibility testing, and documenting results according to internal standards and regulatory requirements.
The role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to align product specifications with brand concepts, supporting scale-up to production, and troubleshooting formulation or manufacturing issues.
The Cosmetic Chemist will also stay current with industry trends, new ingredients, and regulatory changes to support ongoing innovation.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in cosmetic chemistry, including formulation development, raw material selection, and product stability testing.
- Hands-on laboratory skills, such as weighing, mixing, testing physical and chemical properties, and maintaining accurate experimental records.
- Knowledge of cosmetic regulatory and safety standards, quality control practices, and good laboratory practices (GLP).
- Ability to analyze data, interpret test results, and solve technical problems related to product performance or manufacturing.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with R&D, production, quality, and marketing teams.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Cosmetic Science, Pharmacy, or a closely related field.
- Experience in the cosmetics, personal care, or related industry is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
