Here'S The Role

LCRA has been serving Texans since 1934, when we built dams to manage the lower Colorado River and brought electricity to rural Central Texas.

Today, that mission still fuels everything we do!

We are looking for an intern to support the Corporate Strategy & Analysis team through project rotations, research analysis, and cross-functional collaboration.

This opportunity is built for students who have completed at least two years of a bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

may include organizational change management, technology strategy, emerging-technology analysis, and projects supporting LCRA’s strategic priorities.

How You’re Qualified

  • Graduation from an accredited high school or equivalent.
  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university/college program in senior year or has recently completed senior year (i.e., summer after graduating with a bachelor's degree).

How You’ll Stand Out

  • Demonstrated interest in strategy, business analysis, technology, organizational change, utilities, or related fields.
  • Strong communication, writing, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and willingness to learn LCRA systems and applications.
  • Coursework in strategy, economics, public policy, engineering, analytics, or management.
  • Experience with research, structured problem-solving, or project coordination.
  • Knowledge of AI/ML concepts, utility operations, or organizational change management.

How We’ll Support You

Meaningful, hands-on experience, mentorship from industry leaders, and competitive pay, plus access to perks like a 401(k) and EAP.

Equal Opportunity Employer
