Role Description – Sales Manager (General Lines)

This is a full-time, on-site Sales Manager (General Lines) role based in Dubai.

The Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and growing the General Insurance portfolio, including Property, Engineering, Marine, Liability, Financial Lines, Group Life, and other non-medical insurance products.

The role involves identifying new business opportunities, managing key corporate relationships, and driving profitable growth in line with company objectives.

Daily responsibilities include leading and mentoring the General Lines sales team, setting and monitoring performance targets, developing sales strategies, and providing technical guidance on insurance products and risk-management solutions.

The Sales Manager will prepare proposals and presentations, negotiate terms with clients and insurers, coordinate with underwriting teams to secure competitive solutions, and oversee the sales process from prospecting through policy issuance and renewal.

The role also requires maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and internal company standards while ensuring exceptional customer service and retention.

The Sales Manager will collaborate closely with underwriting, operations, claims, and customer service teams to deliver a seamless client experience and strengthen long-term client relationships.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in General Insurance sales, account management, or business development within the UAE insurance market.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing, coaching, and motivating a sales team to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with a consultative and client-focused approach.
  • Comprehensive understanding of General Insurance products, including Property, Engineering, Marine Cargo & Hull, Liability, Financial Lines, Group Life, and other commercial insurance solutions.
  • Ability to assess client risks, develop tailored insurance programs, and manage complex corporate accounts.
  • Demonstrated success in business development, client acquisition, and portfolio growth.
  • Experience using CRM systems, sales reporting tools, and pipeline forecasting methodologies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Insurance, or a related field.
  • Professional insurance qualifications such as ACII, Dip CII, or equivalent certifications are an advantage.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to delivering transparent and value-driven insurance solutions.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, collaborative, and fast-paced environment.
