About This Role
Description
The Product Owner for Corporate Systems (Legal, HR & Finance) serves as the critical bridge between our Human Resources (HR), Legal and Finance business stakeholders and our Information Technology (IT) team.
This role is responsible for structuring business needs, defining the product vision, identifying, and implementing appropriate technology solutions, and ensuring successful user adoption and ongoing system performance.
Key Responsibilities
- **Strategy and Requirements:**
- o Work closely with HR, Legal and Finance leadership to understand strategic objectives and translate complex business problems into clear, actionable requirements and user stories.
- o Define and maintain the product roadmap, prioritizing features and initiatives to deliver maximum business value.
- **System Identification and Implementation:**
- o Conduct market research and feasibility studies to identify the best-fit technology solutions (tools, platforms, or systems) that meet the structural needs of the Legal, HR and Finance departments.
- o Lead the entire product lifecycle, including selection, configuration, testing, and deployment of new or enhanced systems.
- **Agile and Delivery Management:**
- o Manage the product backlog (prioritization, refinement, and grooming) for the development team.
- o Act as the primary decision-maker for scope and priority during the implementation phase, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
- **User Training and Adoption:**
- o Develop and execute comprehensive training plans and materials for end-users across Legal, HR and Finance.
- o Serve as the subject matter expert, providing ongoing support and guidance to ensure high system utilization and proficiency.
- **Monitoring and Follow-up:**
- o Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and adoption of implemented systems.
- o Monitor system performance, gather user feedback post-launch, and iterate on solutions to drive continuous improvement and efficiency.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Proven experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, IT Business Partner or similar role, specifically working with HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and/or financial systems (ERP, general ledger, etc.) and/or Legal systems (contract…)
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Human Resources, Legal, Finance, or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and business requirements to IT teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of structuring ambiguous requirements into clear deliverables.
- Proficiency in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Demonstrated ability to manage vendor relationships and third-party implementation partners.
