Duties and responsibilities
- Develop financial models, forecasts, scenario analyses, and valuations for strategic and transaction decisions.
- Evaluate acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, partnerships, and other strategic opportunities.
- Support transaction execution, due diligence, valuation, modeling, management presentations, and documentation.
- Lead KPI benchmarking and track business and peer performance.
- Prepare investor, board, corporate development, and senior leadership materials.
- Analyze market and peer data for investor relations and market intelligence.
- Coordinate with stakeholders, advisors, and potential partners; validate assumptions and advance deliverables.
- Manage assigned work independently and maintain traceable supporting files, models, and transaction records.
Education and experience
- An undergraduate Finance degree is preferred; Accounting, Economics, Business, Commerce, Engineering, or a related discipline will also be considered.
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in an analytical role such as investment banking, corporate development, transaction advisory, equity research, consulting, private equity, corporate finance, or FP&A.
- Investment banking experience with a financial institution is preferred.
- Strong financial modeling, valuation, transaction analysis, scenario modeling, Excel, and PowerPoint skills are required.
- Relevant industry exposure and pursuit of CFA, CPA, CBV, MBA, or a related designation are assets.
- The role requires sound business judgment and exceptional attention to detail.
