Responsibilities:

  • Assists First and Second Cooks in the preparation of food for patients, cafeteria, and catering functions.
  • Assists in setting up tray line assembly and cafeteria for meal services.
  • Assembles and gathers all required utensils for serving.
  • Serves patients at tray assembly line, as required.
  • Breaks down, cleans and sanitizes equipment after meal service.
  • Covers, dates and refrigerates leftovers according to policies and procedures.
  • Assists in preparing and delivering rendezvous trays to nursing units.
  • Complies with hospital, department and regional sanitation, safety and fire guidelines and regulations.
  • Performs related duties, as required.
  • ADA Essential Functions

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year food preparation experience, required. Experience in an institutional or hospital setting, preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions, required.
