Cook - PM Shift

SCHEDULE:

• The hospitality industry is 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and 365 days of the year. All candidates must be available and are expected to work Texas A&M football game days, Ring Days, graduations, and other high occupancy times due to special events. We strive hard to manage and minimalize overtime, but it should and will be expected when business levels call for it.
• Full-time: 30-40 hours per week depending on level of business forecasted
• Days of week/weekend scheduled will vary depending on level of business forecasted.
• Hiring for PM shift.
• ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Checks with leadership for daily objectives.
• Support in setting up any a la carte stations required for mealtimes.
• Produces dishes in accordance with standard recipes and presentations established by the Chef.
• Preps, cleans, and organizes workstation.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary culinary environment in compliance with all local and federal health codes.
• Performs banquet, kitchen line, and prep functions as directed by the Executive Chef, Hotel Chef and Sous Chefs.
• Completes mise en place before start of service.
• To include other duties as assigned.
• What are we looking for?
• 2-3 years previous culinary experience in a professional kitchen environment
• Active Food handler’s certification or the ability to get it
• Must be willing to work a variety of day/night and weekend shifts
• Requires strong organizational skills
• Must be able to work independently
• Able to be on your feet for long periods of time
• Able to lift at least 50 pounds
• At least 21 years of age
• Have a desire to exceed expectations
• An energetic personality
