Role overview

Food preparation and cooking

• Portion, chop, and store ingredients; wash and peel fresh produce; weigh, measure, and mix ingredients.
• Prepare and cook food to recipes, quality and presentation standards, and food preparation checklists.
• Prepare cold foods and operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers.
• Test food for doneness and monitor quality while preparing it.
• Serve food in proper portions and check food and appliance temperatures.

Kitchen and workplace duties

• Set up and break down the workstation and clean and disinfect kitchen areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment.
• Follow safety and security procedures, report maintenance needs and unsafe conditions, and complete safety training.
• Maintain professional appearance, protect confidential information and company assets, and cooperate with colleagues.
• Meet quality expectations and perform other reasonable duties requested by supervisors.

Preferred qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• At least 1 year of related work experience preferred.
• No supervisory experience is specified as needed.
• No license or certification specified.

Schedule and location

• Full-time position at W Hotels in Doha, Qatar.
• The role is not remote.
