The position is not remote and is located at the employer's Doha property.
Kitchen duties
- Prepare special meals and substitute items as needed.
- Set temperatures for ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters; thaw frozen food in the refrigerator.
- Portion and plate food and maintain food records.
- Monitor prepared food quality and quantity and verify ingredient quality.
- Communicate staffing support needs, surplus ingredients, specials, and unavailable menu items to relevant team members.
- Follow recipes, quality and presentation standards, and cooking checklists; prepare cold foods.
Team and workplace duties
- Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, coaching, motivating, and disciplining employees; act as a role model.
- Follow safety and security policies and report maintenance needs, incidents, injuries, and hazardous conditions to a manager.
- Maintain a clean, professional uniform and appearance; anticipate and respond to guest needs and communicate professionally.
- Listen to employee concerns and help ensure expected quality and standards.
- Perform duties involving prolonged standing, sitting, walking, bending, reaching, twisting, crouching, and pulling.
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
- Perform other reasonable duties requested by a supervisor.
Preferred qualifications
- At least 3 years of related work experience is preferred.
- A degree from a technical, trade, or vocational school is preferred.
- No supervisory experience or license/certification is listed.
