Position

Food preparation and cooking

• Prepare, portion, chop, wash, peel, weigh, measure, mix, and store ingredients.
• Prepare and cook food, including cold foods, following recipes, quality and presentation standards, and preparation checklists.
• Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers; test doneness and monitor food quality.
• Set up and break down the work station and serve proper portions in appropriate receptacles.

Kitchen operations and conduct

• Wash and disinfect kitchen areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment; check appliance and food temperatures.
• Follow company and safety and security procedures, complete safety training, and report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions.
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance; protect company assets and confidential information.
• Communicate professionally, support team goals, maintain positive working relationships, and respond to coworkers' concerns.
• Meet quality expectations and perform other reasonable duties requested by supervisors.

Physical requirements

• Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire work shift; reach, bend, twist, pull, and stoop as needed.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.

Preferred qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• At least one year of related work experience preferred.
• No supervisory experience is listed; no license or certification is listed.
