Role overview

Food preparation and cooking

• Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, storing, washing, peeling, measuring, and mixing.
• Prepare and cook food, including cold foods, according to recipes, quality and presentation standards, and food-preparation checklists.
• Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers; test doneness and monitor food quality.
• Set up and clean the work area, plate food in suitable containers, and check equipment and food temperatures.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, tables, utensils, knives, and equipment.

Workplace conduct and safety

• Follow company and safety procedures; report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to a manager.
• Complete safety training and certification; maintain professional attire, protect confidential information and company property, and communicate professionally.
• Support team goals, maintain positive working relationships, respond appropriately to coworkers’ concerns, and uphold quality standards.
• Work on foot or seated for extended periods and move, lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
• Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by a supervisor.

Qualifications

• At least one year of related work experience is listed.
• A high school diploma or GED equivalent is listed as a preferred qualification.
• No supervisory experience or license/certification is listed as required.
