Role Description
The Controls Assurance Manager is a part-time, hybrid role based in Dubai, with flexibility for some work from home.
The role is responsible for designing, implementing, and monitoring internal controls related to site selection, due diligence, client advisory projects, and operational processes.
Day-to-day tasks include assessing control design and operating effectiveness, performing risk and control reviews on key workflows (e.g., feasibility assessments, partner evaluations, and client recommendations), and documenting findings and remediation plans.
The Controls Assurance Manager will develop and maintain controls frameworks, perform periodic testing, and prepare clear reports and dashboards for leadership and stakeholders.
The role also involves collaborating with internal and external partners, advising on control improvements for new services and processes, and helping embed a culture of risk awareness and compliance.
Qualifications
- Strong experience in controls assurance, risk management, or internal audit, ideally within infrastructure, technology, energy, or data center–related environments.
- Proven ability to design, implement, and test internal controls and risk frameworks, including documentation of processes, risks, and controls.
- Experience assessing operational, regulatory, and commercial risks across complex projects or transactions.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to review data, draw conclusions, and present concise, evidence-based recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to express complex control and risk concepts clearly to non-specialists.
- Comfort working in a small, high-impact organization, managing priorities independently, and operating effectively in a hybrid (Dubai + remote) setup.
- Familiarity with controls and assurance standards or methodologies (e.g., COSO, ISO standards, SOC reporting, or similar) is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., CIA, CISA, CPA, or
