It connects plant operations with Corporate Finance and supports productivity, profitability, working capital, and growth.

Strategic finance and cost accounting

  • Advise the Plant Manager and Plant Leadership Team and contribute to strategic and operational decisions.
  • Own plant cost accounting and standard costing across materials, finished goods, labor, and overhead.
  • Analyze material usage, production variances, yields, labor utilization, and cost-reduction opportunities.
  • Maintain bills of material, routings, recipes, and costing structures; ensure accurate product costing and margin reporting.
  • Partner with Operations to implement manufacturing cost improvements.

FP&A and financial close

  • Lead annual budgets, strategic plans, latest estimates, scenario analyses, and financial models.
  • Monitor performance against budget, forecast, and prior-year results; lead monthly reviews with plant and corporate leadership.
  • Lead plant financial close, ensure accurate results, prepare management reports and variance analysis, and reconcile production, inventory, and financial results.
  • Prepare month-end accruals and coordinate audit support and external reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS, corporate accounting policies, and internal controls.

Inventory and working capital

  • Work with Supply Chain on inventory valuation and accounting and ensure transactions are recorded and reconciled.
  • Oversee cycle counts, inventory adjustments and write-offs, and analysis of slow-moving and excess inventory.
  • Partner with Supply Chain and Operations to improve inventory turns and working capital, maintaining controls over raw materials and finished premix.

Capital projects and expansion

  • Provide financial leadership for capital projects and plant investments; develop business cases and ROI analyses.
  • Monitor capital spending and forecast project costs; support purchase order and invoice approval processes.
  • Ensure fixed assets are capitalized properly and support construction-in-progress accounting.
  • Support facility expansion, commissioning, startup, and operational readiness.
  • Support ERP implementation and process design and develop financial processes and governance for a growing manufacturing operation.

Reporting and analytics

  • Develop financial and operational dashboards and KPI reporting for plant leaders and headquarters.
  • Use SAP, Power Query, SAP BI Excel, and reporting tools to provide actionable insights.
  • Drive reporting automation and data accuracy and present financial performance and trends to senior leadership.

Candidate profile

  • Strong manufacturing finance expertise and deep knowledge of standard costing and inventory accounting are required.
  • The role calls for an autonomous, curious, self-driven, and proactive approach.
