Contracts Manager

Role overview

Contract administration and commercial oversight

• Administer main contracts, subcontracts, and consultancy agreements using FIDIC conditions and UAE regulations.
• Lead variations, change orders, claims evaluation, dispute avoidance, and contractual risk assessments.
• Manage interim valuations and payment applications, and negotiate final account settlements.
• Represent the commercial function in meetings with clients, consultants, contractors, and authorities.

Tendering, procurement, and cost control

• Prepare tender packages with BOQs, specifications, scope matrices, and contract conditions.
• Manage expressions of interest, contractor shortlisting, tender communications, and technical and commercial evaluations.
• Prepare comparative reports, recommend contractors, and negotiate commercial terms before contract execution.
• Oversee cost estimates, budgets, cash-flow forecasts, feasibility studies, value engineering, and cost analyses.
• Maintain commercial records, audit trails, and financial reporting dashboards.

Qualifications and experience

• A bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a relevant engineering field is required.
• Requires 8–12 years of hands-on commercial and contracts management experience in a consultancy environment.
• Requires project exposure across varied sectors, including buildings, schools, villas, or master-planned communities.
• Requires advanced knowledge of FIDIC contracts and UAE procurement laws or guidelines.
• Requires expertise in tender evaluation, contract drafting, value engineering, and commercial negotiations.
• RICS accreditation is preferred.

Pay

• Pay is up to AED 18,000 per month.
