Role overview

Contract management

• Review, develop, and enforce administrative procedures to support performance under contract terms and conditions.
• Develop and implement contract management and administration procedures in compliance with contract conditions.
• Manage contracts from inception to completion and assist with commercial strategy.
• Monitor contracted services with project teams to confirm effectiveness and compliance with project and statutory requirements.
• Track project milestones and deliverables and ensure contractual procedures are maintained.

Claims, reporting, and close-out

• Draft contractual correspondence and maintain records needed for contract administration.
• Administer, review, and settle claims; resolve disputes; and negotiate contract changes.
• Identify recurring or potential claims and develop mitigation strategies.
• Monitor contracts and claims, addressing compliance issues promptly and effectively.
• Maintain client relationships and provide contractual and commercial reports.
• Support contract close-out and confirm compliance before final payment to contractors.
• Advise on contractual matters.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a degree in Quantity Surveying.
• At least 10 years of related experience in building and infrastructure projects.

Desired skills and experience

• Experience with supervision consultants and/or project management consultants is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts, mega-project experience, UAE experience, and excellent writing, negotiation, and communication skills are desired.
• Professional membership or progress toward membership, such as MRICS/RICS, is desirable.
