About This Role

LI Property Services is looking for an experienced Contractor Finance Officer to join our finance team in Doha. This key role involves managing financial operations, ensuring accurate budgeting, cost control, and reporting for our contractor-based projects. The ideal candidate will have strong financial acumen with a proven ability to manage contractor agreements, monitor project costs, and ensure financial compliance within the property and construction sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the financial operations related to contractor agreements, ensuring accuracy in payments, invoicing, and budget management
  • Prepare, manage, and track budgets for contractor-led projects, ensuring they align with company goals and project timelines
  • Monitor and analyze project costs, including materials, labor, and subcontractor expenses, ensuring they remain within budget
  • Collaborate with project managers to review project expenses and provide financial insights and recommendations for cost savings
  • Ensure timely and accurate invoicing, payment processing, and contract administration for contractors
  • Reconcile financial data and provide monthly reports on contractor payments, project expenditures, and forecasts
  • Conduct variance analysis on budget vs actual costs and provide actionable recommendations to improve financial performance
  • Support the preparation of financial statements and reports for both internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, internal controls, and accounting standards
  • Assist in preparing documentation for audits and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
  • Proven experience as a finance officer or in a similar role, ideally within the property, construction, or contracting industries
  • Strong knowledge of contractor agreements, project cost management, and financial reporting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems (knowledge of construction-specific software is a plus)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working with contractors in the property or construction sectors
  • Familiarity with financial regulations and accounting standards specific to the contracting industry
  • Professional certifications such as CMA, CPA, or ACCA are a plus
