Content & Projects Assistant

Overview

Responsibilities

• Liaise with design, content, video, and events departments to compile assets for internal and external projects, pitches and meetings.
• Track key editorial and events deadlines, following up with teams to ensure projects are on track and roadblocks are cleared.
• Serve as a communication bridge between leadership, editors and central services, ensuring clear and timely updates, tracking and reporting.
• Undertake special editorial, events or admin projects ad-hoc, with flair and accuracy.
• Assist with project coordination and cross-department communications.
• Create Canva presentations, templates, and mock graphics for upcoming projects, events, and launches.
• Research industry trends, competitors, and growth opportunities.
• Support the events department with pre, on-site, and post-event logistics.
• Manage calendars, organise meetings, and share scheduling updates.

Essential Skills & Experience

• At least two years of experience in media or events business.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects at once and prioritise effectively.
• Proactive and dependable with the ability to anticipate roadblocks.
• Excellent writing and verbal communication skills, highest standard of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Experience in content creation for events, editorial, or social media.
• Strong grasp of Canva, Microsoft Suite, CRM, and CMS software.
• Understanding of the media landscape in the Middle East, with a passion for all things media and content creation.
• A balance between creative and analytical thinking.
• Ability to understand the importance of and maintain confidentiality related to the business and employees.
• Fluent English, fluent Arabic desirable.
