What you’ll do
- Research, write and produce social media, news, feature and other editorial content.
- Develop social media content and campaigns showcasing the University’s people, achievements, research and impact.
- Research and write media releases and contribute to media pitches and media relations activities.
- Work with colleagues and stakeholders to identify and develop stories and content opportunities.
- Contribute ideas to increase engagement across digital and social channels.
- Monitor content and social media performance and use insights to improve future activity.
- Create and deliver content that builds engagement and strengthens the University’s reputation.
What will help you succeed
- Tertiary qualifications in communications, journalism, marketing, public relations or advertising, combined with relevant experience.
- Strong writing, editing and storytelling skills across digital, social media and editorial formats.
- Experience developing engaging social media content and understanding of contemporary platforms, trends and practices.
- Ability to research and write news stories, feature articles, media releases and communications materials.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build productive stakeholder relationships.
- Collaborative approach, good judgement and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced communications environment.
