Eligibility & Board Recognition

• **MCh / DNB/ DM/MS Thoracic Surgery / equivalent recognised sub-specialty qualification**
• Candidates should be eligible for
• Dubai Health Authority (DHA) / Department of Health Abu Dhabi (DOH) license conversion

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and surgically manage
• thoracic conditions including lung cancer, pleural diseases, mediastinal tumors, and chest wall disorders
• Perform
• open and minimally invasive thoracic surgeries (VATS / robotic-assisted surgery)
• Manage
• thoracic oncology cases in collaboration with multidisciplinary tumor boards
• Conduct
• pre-operative evaluation and post-operative care
• , including ICU coordination
• Perform procedures such as
• lobectomy, pneumonectomy, decortication, and esophageal interventions (if applicable)
• Collaborate with pulmonology, oncology, radiology, and critical care teams
• Participate in
• emergency thoracic surgical services and trauma care
• Ensure compliance with
• clinical governance, patient safety, and international surgical standards
• Contribute to
• clinical audits, research, and continuous medical education
• Mentor junior doctors and surgical trainees
