Role Overview

Consultant / Specialist Pediatric Cardiologist

- **Experience Required:**
Minimum
- 3–5+ years post specialist / board certification
- **Clinical Scope:**
- Pediatric cardiology, congenital heart disease, interventional and non-invasive cardiology
- The successful candidate will provide
- comprehensive cardiac care for infants, children, and adolescents
- , collaborating with pediatricians, intensivists, and cardiac surgeons.
Eligibility & Board Recognition

- DM / MD/ DNB Pediatric Cardiology / equivalent recognised super-specialty qualification
- Candidates should be eligible for
- Dubai Health Authority (DHA) / Department of Health Abu Dhabi (DOH) license conversion

Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage
- congenital and acquired heart diseases
- in pediatric patients
- Perform and interpret
- echocardiography, ECG, cardiac MRI, and stress testing
- Conduct
- pediatric cardiac catheterization, balloon angioplasty, and interventional procedures
- Provide
- pre- and post-operative cardiac evaluation
- in collaboration with pediatric cardiac surgeons
- Manage
- neonatal and critical pediatric cardiac cases
- , including ICU involvement
- Deliver long-term care for
- chronic cardiac conditions and follow-up management
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including neonatology, PICU, and pediatric surgery
- Counsel families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and prognosis with empathy and clarity
- Participate in
- clinical governance, audits, and quality improvement initiatives
- Supervise and mentor junior doctors, residents, and medical students
- Ensure compliance with
- UAE healthcare regulations and international best practices
