Consultant Pediatrician

About This Role

We are looking for a Pediatrician who will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and preventing illnesses in infants, children, and adolescents. The role requires delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with UAE healthcare regulations and facility standards in Abu Dhabi.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical care to infants, children, and adolescents (0–18 years)
• Conduct routine check-ups, growth and development assessments, and immunizations
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic pediatric conditions
• Prescribe appropriate medications and treatment plans
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment as required
• Provide guidance to parents regarding nutrition, hygiene, and child development
• Manage pediatric emergencies and stabilize critical cases when required
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records in line with DHA/DOH standards
• Collaborate with nurses, specialists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols
• Participate in health education programs and community awareness initiatives.

Requirements

• Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent)
• Specialization in Pediatrics (MD/DNB/Board Certification)
• Minimum 2–5 years of clinical experience.
• Strong knowledge of pediatric diseases, growth development, and immunization schedules
• Excellent communication skills with children and parents
• Ability to handle emergency pediatric cases.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR)
• Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills
• Compassionate and patient-focused approach

Work Environment

• Hospitals, clinics, or specialty pediatric centers in Abu Dhabi
• Shift-based clinical duties (including on-call/emergency coverage if required)
