Overview
We are looking for a Consultant Pediatric Dentist who will be responsible for providing specialized dental care to infants, children, and adolescents while ensuring a comfortable and child-friendly environment.
The role includes diagnosing and treating pediatric dental conditions, promoting preventive oral healthcare, and educating families on proper dental hygiene practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive dental examinations for pediatric patients.
- Diagnose and treat oral and dental conditions in children and adolescents.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Perform preventive and restorative procedures including:
- Dental cleanings
- Fluoride treatments
- Fillings
- Crowns
- Sealants
- Extractions
- Pulp therapy
- Manage dental emergencies in children.
- Use child behavior management techniques to reduce dental anxiety.
- Educate parents and children on oral hygiene, nutrition, and preventive care.
- Monitor dental growth and development.
- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation.
- Collaborate with orthodontists, pediatricians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Ensure compliance with UAE healthcare regulations, infection control, and patient safety standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Dentistry (BDS/DDS/DMD).
- Master’s Degree or Specialty Certification in Pediatric Dentistry.
- Board Certification preferred.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in pediatric dentistry after specialization.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with children and families.
- Knowledge of sedation techniques and pediatric dental procedures is an advantage.
