Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Orthopedic Surgeon to diagnose, treat, and manage disorders of the musculoskeletal system.
The role involves performing surgical and non-surgical procedures, ensuring high standards of patient care, and working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat conditions related to bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, and muscles, including fractures, arthritis, and sports injuries
- Perform orthopedic surgeries such as joint replacements, fracture fixation, arthroscopy, and reconstructive procedures
- Conduct patient consultations, assessments, and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative care, including rehabilitation planning
- Interpret diagnostic tests such as X-rays, MRI, CT scans, and lab reports
- Prescribe medications, physiotherapy, and non-invasive treatments when appropriate
- Monitor patient recovery and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation
- Collaborate with physiotherapists, nurses, and other specialists to ensure comprehensive care
- Ensure compliance with UAE healthcare regulations, safety protocols, and ethical standards
Qualifications & Requirements
- MBBS or equivalent medical degree
- Master’s degree or specialization in Orthopedics (MS/DNB/FRCS or equivalent)
- Minimum 3–5+ years of experience as an orthopedic surgeon (post-specialization)
- Expertise in surgical and non-surgical orthopedic treatments
- Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and patient management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment
Preferred Skills
- Subspecialty expertise (e.g., sports medicine, spine surgery, joint replacement)
- Experience in minimally invasive procedures
- Knowledge of insurance and billing processes in Dubai
- Commitment to continuous medical education and research
Working Conditions (Typical in Dubai)
- Full-time role in hospitals or specialty clinics
- Mix of outpatient, inpatient, and surgical responsibilities
