Danat Al Emarat is a world-class specialty women’s and children’s hospital in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

It offers advanced medical services across specialties including Neonatology, Pediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynecology, and Women’s Health.

The hospital is one of the very few to encompass a dedicated Fetal Medicine Department along with a full-fledged Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in the UAE.

This has established Danat Al Emarat as a regional referral center for women with high-risk pregnancies, supported by its Level III NICU providing care for the most fragile newborns.

Danat Al Emarat Hospital, a leading women’s and children’s specialty hospital within M42, is seeking a Consultant Obstetrics & Gynecology to join its expanding clinical team.

The role involves delivering high-quality, patient-centered care across obstetrics and gynecology services, with a focus on managing both routine and high-risk cases in a tertiary care environment.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care, including antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal management.
Manage high-risk pregnancies and complex gynecological conditions in line with best clinical practices.
Perform a wide range of surgical procedures, including minimally invasive and open gynecological surgeries.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Contribute to departmental development, clinical audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
Participate in on-call rotations and emergency coverage as required.
Support teaching, mentoring, and supervision of junior medical staff.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation in compliance with JCI and DOH standards.

Qualifications

Medical degree with specialization in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
Recognized Board Certification (e.g., Arab Board, Western Board, or equivalent Tier 1 qualification).
Minimum of 5-7 years of post-specialization experience at Consultant level (or equivalent senior experience).
Proven expertise in managing high-risk obstetrics cases is strongly preferred.
Eligibility for DOH Consultant licensure.
Strong clinical, communication, and leadership skills.
